Description

AdBlue® 10L | Diesel Exhaust Fluid | AUS 32 | ISO 22241

Product Overview

AdBlue® 10L is a high-purity Diesel Exhaust Fluid designed for diesel vehicles and equipment fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction exhaust after-treatment systems.

Formulated as AUS 32, the product contains a nominal concentration of 32.5% high-purity automotive-grade urea and 67.5% demineralised water.

The fluid is stored in a dedicated reservoir separate from the vehicle’s diesel fuel tank. During operation, the SCR system automatically injects a measured quantity into the exhaust stream to assist in reducing nitrogen oxide emissions.

The 10-litre container provides a practical refill quantity for passenger vehicles, four-wheel drives, diesel utes, commercial vans, light trucks, workshops and smaller fleets.

AdBlue® 10L is supplied ready to use. It must not be diluted, blended or mixed with diesel, coolant, lubricating oil, tap water or additives.

Key Features and Benefits

High-Purity AUS 32 Formulation

The product contains a nominal 32.5% concentration of high-purity automotive-grade urea in demineralised water.

This concentration supports accurate dosing and the chemical reaction required within modern SCR exhaust after-treatment systems.

SCR pumps, injectors, sensors and catalyst components are sensitive to contamination. Using high-purity fluid and clean filling equipment helps protect the system from deposits, crystallisation and dosing faults.

Meets ISO 22241 Requirements

AdBlue® 10L meets the applicable requirements of ISO 22241.

The standard covers fluid composition, product quality, testing methods, handling procedures, storage conditions, transportation, dispensing and refilling equipment.

Correct handling remains important after manufacture. Contamination introduced during storage or filling can affect product quality and SCR performance.

Ready to Use

The fluid is supplied at the correct AUS 32 concentration and is ready to pour into the vehicle’s dedicated Diesel Exhaust Fluid reservoir.

No dilution, additives or further treatment are required.

Adding tap water, antifreeze or another substance can change the concentration and introduce contaminants.

Convenient 10-Litre Container

The 10-litre pack offers a practical balance between refill volume and manageable handling.

It provides more capacity than a small emergency bottle while remaining suitable for storage in a workshop, garage, service vehicle or maintenance area.

The pack is suitable for passenger vehicles, diesel four-wheel drives, vans and utes that require routine top-ups.

Supports SCR Emission Control

Selective Catalytic Reduction systems use AdBlue® to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel exhaust gases.

The vehicle controls the quantity injected according to engine load, exhaust temperature and operating conditions.

The resulting chemical process converts nitrogen oxides primarily into nitrogen and water.

Helps Reduce Vehicle Downtime

SCR-equipped vehicles generally display a dashboard warning when the Diesel Exhaust Fluid level becomes low.

If the warning is ignored, the vehicle may limit engine performance or prevent restarting after the engine is switched off.

Keeping a 10-litre container available allows drivers and workshops to respond to warnings before operating restrictions occur.

Suitable for Personal and Commercial Use

AdBlue® 10L is suitable for private vehicle owners, tradespeople, workshops, service centres, farmers and smaller fleet operators.

The pack can be used for scheduled servicing, routine maintenance or topping up between service intervals.

Suitable Applications

AdBlue® 10L is suitable for compatible SCR-equipped:

  • Diesel passenger cars
  • Four-wheel drives and SUVs
  • Commercial vans
  • Diesel utes
  • Light commercial vehicles
  • Light trucks
  • Buses and coaches
  • Agricultural tractors
  • Construction machinery
  • Earthmoving equipment
  • Material-handling machinery
  • Stationary diesel engines
  • SCR-equipped generators
  • Workshops and service centres
  • Small commercial fleets

Not every diesel engine requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Confirm the vehicle requirements using the owner’s manual, filler-cap information or manufacturer’s service documentation before filling.

How AdBlue® Works

Diesel engines can produce nitrogen oxides during combustion. Selective Catalytic Reduction technology is designed to reduce these emissions after combustion.

AdBlue® is carried in a dedicated reservoir separate from the diesel tank.

During operation, the vehicle’s electronic control system injects a measured quantity into the hot exhaust stream before the SCR catalyst.

The heat converts the aqueous urea solution into ammonia. Inside the catalyst, the ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxides and converts them primarily into nitrogen and water.

The vehicle controls the dosing process automatically. Consumption depends on engine design, vehicle load, driving conditions, exhaust temperature and manufacturer calibration.

AdBlue® does not mix with diesel fuel and does not enter the engine’s combustion chamber.

It is not a diesel additive, engine lubricant, injector cleaner or fuel conditioner.

Handling and Storage Advice

Store the container upright in a cool, dry and well-ventilated location.

Keep it securely closed when not in use. Protect it from direct sunlight, excessive heat, dust, rain and workshop contamination.

Where practical, store the container below 25°C and follow the applicable batch and expiry information.

Use only clean spouts, funnels, pumps and filling equipment suitable for AUS 32.

Equipment previously exposed to diesel, lubricating oil, coolant or other chemicals must not be used unless professionally cleaned and confirmed compatible.

Even small amounts of diesel, oil, grease, coolant, tap water, dust, rust or incompatible metals can affect product quality.

AdBlue® begins to freeze at approximately –11°C. Freezing does not normally make uncontaminated fluid unusable. Allow frozen product to thaw completely and naturally before use.

Do not add water, antifreeze or another substance to prevent freezing or accelerate thawing.

Avoid contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection where splashing may occur.

Spilled fluid can create a slippery surface. Clean spills promptly and prevent uncontrolled discharge into drains, soil, stormwater systems or waterways.

Refer to the applicable Safety Data Sheet for complete handling, personal-protection, first-aid and disposal information.

Directions for Use

Confirm that the vehicle requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid meeting ISO 22241.

Locate the vehicle’s dedicated Diesel Exhaust Fluid filler. It is commonly identified by a blue cap but may be positioned beside the diesel filler, under the bonnet or in another location.

Switch off the engine and follow the manufacturer’s filling instructions.

Clean the area around the filler before opening it. Use a clean spout or funnel suitable for AUS 32.

Pour the required quantity into the dedicated reservoir without overfilling.

Replace the filler cap securely and clean any spillage.

Some vehicles may require the ignition to remain switched on briefly before the updated fluid level is recognised.
