Description

Penrite Penblue AdBlue® Diesel Exhaust Fluid 10L | PENBLUE010

Product Overview

Penrite Penblue AdBlue® Diesel Exhaust Fluid 10L is a fully licensed and registered AdBlue® aqueous urea solution designed for diesel vehicles fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction exhaust after-treatment systems.

Formulated as AUS 32, Penrite Penblue contains 32.5% high-purity urea by weight mixed with demineralised water. The controlled formulation supports the correct operation of SCR dosing systems and assists compatible diesel vehicles in reducing nitrogen oxide emissions.

Penblue AdBlue® is stored in a dedicated reservoir separate from the diesel fuel tank. During vehicle operation, the SCR system automatically injects a measured quantity into the hot exhaust stream. The resulting chemical reaction converts nitrogen oxides into primarily nitrogen and water.

The convenient 10-litre container is suitable for passenger cars, four-wheel drives, utes, vans, light commercial vehicles, trucks and other compatible diesel equipment. The container incorporates an improved pouring spout to support cleaner and more controlled filling.

Penrite Penblue is supplied ready to use and must not be diluted, blended or mixed with diesel fuel, coolant, lubricating oil, tap water or additives.

Key Features and Benefits

Fully Licensed and Registered AdBlue® Product

Penrite Penblue is marketed as a fully licensed and registered AdBlue® aqueous urea solution. The trade mark identifies qualifying Diesel Exhaust Fluid manufactured and supplied within the applicable AdBlue® licensing and quality framework.

The product name shown in this listing follows Penrite’s official product designation and identifies a genuine Penrite Penblue product.

High-Purity AUS 32 Formulation

Penblue contains 32.5% high-purity urea by weight combined with demineralised water. This concentration is used in SCR systems because it provides the correct chemical composition for controlled exhaust dosing.

SCR components can be sensitive to chemical impurities and contamination. Using correctly formulated and properly handled Diesel Exhaust Fluid helps protect pumps, dosing modules, injectors, sensors and catalyst components.

The fluid must remain clean throughout storage, handling and filling. Even small amounts of diesel, lubricating oil, coolant, tap water, dust or unsuitable metal contamination may affect product quality.

ISO 22241 Performance

Penrite Penblue is suitable for applications requiring Diesel Exhaust Fluid meeting ISO 22241.

ISO 22241 covers important requirements relating to:

  • Product quality and composition
  • Testing procedures
  • Storage and transportation
  • Handling and dispensing
  • Refilling interfaces
  • Equipment compatibility
  • Product identification

Correct handling is essential because contamination introduced after manufacture may affect the performance of the SCR system.

DIN 70070 and AUS 32

Penrite Penblue meets the stated product performance levels of AUS 32 and DIN 70070.

AUS 32 identifies an aqueous urea solution containing a nominal 32.5% urea concentration. DIN 70070 is a recognised specification associated with aqueous urea solution used in SCR exhaust-treatment systems.

Ford Performance Levels

Penrite lists Penblue against the following Ford performance levels:

  • Ford M99C130-A
  • Ford WSS-M99C130-A

Vehicle owners should always confirm the required fluid specification using the owner’s manual, service documentation or manufacturer’s instructions.

Supports Reduction of Nitrogen Oxide Emissions

SCR systems use Diesel Exhaust Fluid to reduce nitrogen oxides generated during diesel-engine combustion.

Penblue is injected into the exhaust stream before the SCR catalyst. The heat of the exhaust converts the urea solution into ammonia, which reacts with nitrogen oxides inside the catalyst. This reaction converts the nitrogen oxides primarily into nitrogen and water.

The dosing process is controlled automatically by the vehicle. Fluid consumption varies according to engine design, vehicle load, operating temperature, driving conditions and manufacturer calibration.

Ready to Use

Penrite Penblue is supplied at the correct AUS 32 concentration and is ready to pour into the vehicle’s dedicated Diesel Exhaust Fluid reservoir.

No dilution or additives are required. Adding water or another substance may alter the concentration, introduce contamination and interfere with SCR operation.

Improved Pouring Spout

The Penblue 10-litre container incorporates an improved pouring spout designed to make filling easier and more controlled.

The spout assists with directing the fluid into the dedicated reservoir and can help reduce splashing, spillage and contamination during use.

The filler area should be cleaned before opening, and the container should remain sealed until the product is required.

Suitable for Routine Top-Ups

The 10-litre pack provides a practical refill volume for passenger vehicles, four-wheel drives, vans, utes and light commercial vehicles.

It is suitable for individual vehicle owners, workshops, tradespeople, service centres and smaller fleet operators that require a manageable quantity without purchasing a larger drum or IBC.

Helps Prevent Avoidable Downtime

Modern SCR-equipped vehicles generally provide a dashboard warning when the Diesel Exhaust Fluid level becomes low.

If the warning is ignored, the vehicle may reduce engine performance, limit operation or prevent restarting after the engine is switched off. Keeping a 10-litre pack available allows the reservoir to be topped up before the warning reaches a critical stage.

Suitable Applications

Penrite Penblue AdBlue® 10L is suitable for compatible SCR-equipped:

  • Diesel passenger cars
  • Four-wheel drives and SUVs
  • Commercial vans
  • Diesel utes
  • Light commercial vehicles
  • Trucks
  • Buses and coaches
  • Agricultural vehicles
  • Construction machinery
  • Material-handling equipment
  • Industrial diesel engines
  • SCR-equipped diesel generators
  • Workshop and fleet-maintenance applications

Not every diesel engine requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Confirm the vehicle’s requirements before filling.

How Penrite Penblue AdBlue® Works

Diesel engines can generate nitrogen oxides during combustion. Selective Catalytic Reduction systems are designed to reduce these emissions after combustion has taken place.

Penblue AdBlue® is carried in a dedicated reservoir separate from the diesel tank. During operation, the vehicle’s electronic control system injects the fluid into the hot exhaust stream before the SCR catalyst.

The heat causes the aqueous urea solution to release ammonia. When the ammonia reaches the SCR catalyst, it reacts with nitrogen oxides and converts them primarily into nitrogen and water.

The vehicle controls the dosing rate automatically. Penrite states that typical dosing may be equivalent to approximately 3% to 5% of diesel consumption, although actual consumption depends on the vehicle, engine, duty cycle and operating conditions.

Penblue does not enter the engine’s combustion chamber. It is not designed to improve diesel ignition, clean fuel injectors or lubricate the fuel system. Its function is limited to the SCR exhaust after-treatment process.

Handling and Storage Advice

Store Penrite Penblue in its original sealed package in a cool, dry and well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight, foodstuffs, incompatible materials and sources of heat.

Keep the container upright and securely closed when not in use. Check the container periodically for leakage or damage.

Penrite states that the product is suitable for storage in its original package for up to 18 months from the date of manufacture when stored correctly and not exposed to temperatures exceeding 30°C.

Use only clean filling equipment compatible with Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Funnels, spouts, pumps, hoses and nozzles must be dedicated exclusively to AUS 32.

Do not use equipment previously exposed to diesel, oil, coolant, grease or other chemicals unless it has been professionally cleaned and confirmed suitable.

Penblue begins to crystallise at approximately –11°C. Freezing does not normally make uncontaminated product unusable. Allow frozen fluid to thaw completely and naturally before use. Do not add water, antifreeze or another substance.

Avoid eye contact and repeated or prolonged skin contact. Avoid inhaling mist or aerosols. Appropriate gloves and safety glasses should be used where splashing may occur.

Spilled product can create a slippery surface. Clean spills promptly and prevent uncontrolled discharge into soil, drains, stormwater systems or waterways.

Penrite Penblue is not classified as hazardous according to Safe Work Australia criteria and is not classified as Dangerous Goods for road and rail transport. It must nevertheless be handled according to the product label and current Safety Data Sheet.

Directions for Use

Confirm that the vehicle requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid meeting ISO 22241.

Locate the vehicle’s dedicated Diesel Exhaust Fluid reservoir. The filler commonly has a blue cap, although its location varies between vehicle manufacturers.

Switch off the engine and follow the filling procedure provided in the vehicle owner’s manual.

Clean the area around the filler before opening it. Remove the cap and use the container’s pouring spout to transfer the required quantity into the dedicated reservoir.

Pour carefully and avoid overfilling. Do not allow the spout or fluid to contact dirty equipment, diesel fuel, lubricants, coolant or other contaminants.

Replace and secure the filler cap after filling. Clean any spillage promptly.

Some vehicles may require the ignition to remain switched on briefly before the updated fluid level is recognised. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions if the warning remains active after filling.
