AusBlue 1000L IBC Pod Shuttle contains genuine AdBlue® Diesel Exhaust Fluid manufactured in Australia for diesel vehicles and machinery fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction exhaust after-treatment systems.
Formulated as AUS 32, the product contains a nominal concentration of 32.5% high-purity automotive-grade urea and 67.5% demineralised water. Not every diesel engine requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid. Confirm the vehicle or equipment requirements using the owner’s manual, filler-cap information or manufacturer’s service instructions before use.
How AdBlue® Works
Diesel engines can produce nitrogen oxides during combustion. Selective Catalytic Reduction technology is designed to reduce these emissions after combustion has occurred.
AdBlue® is stored in a dedicated reservoir separate from the diesel fuel tank. During operation, the vehicle’s electronic control system injects a measured quantity into the hot exhaust stream before the SCR catalyst.
The exhaust heat converts the aqueous urea solution into ammonia. Inside the catalyst, the ammonia reacts with nitrogen oxides and converts them primarily into nitrogen and water.
The dosing process is controlled automatically by the vehicle. Consumption depends on engine design, load, exhaust temperature, operating conditions, duty cycle and manufacturer calibration.
AdBlue® is not a diesel-fuel additive, engine lubricant or injector cleaner. Its function is limited to the SCR exhaust after-treatment system.

Handling and Storage Advice
Store the IBC upright on a stable, level and load-rated surface in a clean, dry and well-ventilated location.
Keep the outlet valve closed and protected when not connected to dispensing equipment. Ensure all openings, seals and fittings remain securely closed to prevent contamination and leakage.
Protect the IBC from direct sunlight and prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. Store it indoors or beneath suitable weather protection where practical.
Use only dedicated pumps, hoses, fittings, flow meters and nozzles suitable for AUS 32. Equipment previously used for diesel, lubricating oil, coolant or chemicals must not be used unless professionally cleaned and confirmed compatible.
Even small quantities of diesel, oil, grease, coolant, tap water, dust, rust or incompatible metals can affect product quality.
AdBlue® begins to freeze at approximately –11°C. Freezing does not normally make uncontaminated product unusable. Allow frozen fluid to thaw completely and naturally before dispensing. Do not add water, antifreeze or another substance.
Never attempt to move a full IBC manually. Use a forklift, pallet jack or other appropriately rated materials-handling equipment operated by trained personnel.
Inspect the IBC regularly for impact damage, bulging, leaking valves, broken seals or signs of contamination.
Wear suitable gloves and eye protection when connecting dispensing equipment or cleaning spills. Prevent uncontrolled discharge into soil, drains, stormwater systems or waterways.
Dispensing Instructions
Confirm that the vehicle requires Diesel Exhaust Fluid meeting ISO 22241.
Install a clean and compatible IBC dispensing system according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions. Reserve the complete system exclusively for AUS 32.
Inspect the outlet valve, pump and fittings before connection. Attach the pump or suction assembly securely before opening the IBC valve.
Locate the vehicle’s dedicated Diesel Exhaust Fluid filler, commonly identified by a blue cap. Switch off the engine and follow the manufacturer’s filling procedure.
Dispense the required quantity without overfilling. Return the nozzle to a clean holder after use and protect the equipment from rain, dust and contamination.
Important Warnings
AdBlue® is not diesel fuel and is not a fuel additive.
Never add AdBlue® to:
- The diesel fuel tank
- The engine-oil system
- The cooling system
- The hydraulic system
- The transmission
- The windscreen-washer reservoir
If AdBlue® is accidentally added to the diesel tank, do not start the engine. Contact a qualified repairer immediately.
If diesel or another substance contaminates the IBC, stop dispensing and isolate the product.
