Product Description
Shell Omala S4 WE 320 is a high-performance fully synthetic industrial gear oil formulated using polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base fluids and advanced additives.
It is specifically designed for worm gear applications operating under severe conditions, providing superior lubrication, extended oil life, and improved energy efficiency compared with conventional mineral oils.
Features and Benefits
Long Oil Life – Maintenance Saving
Excellent oxidation and thermal stability helps extend service intervals and reduce maintenance costs.
Outstanding Wear Protection
High load-carrying capacity and resistance to micro-pitting improve gear and bearing life.
Improved Energy Efficiency
Lower friction in worm gear systems can significantly improve system efficiency and reduce operating temperatures.
Applications
Shell Omala S4 WE 320 is recommended for:
- Enclosed industrial worm gear systems
- Gearboxes operating under heavy loads and high temperatures
- Systems with extended oil drain intervals
- Wind turbine yaw gears and inaccessible gear systems
- Bearings and components in circulating or splash lubrication systems
Note:
- Not recommended for aluminium or aluminium alloy components
- Not compatible with mineral oils or most other synthetic oils (PAG-based)
