Description

SHELL SPIRAX S4 AT 75W-90

Premium Synthetic Blend API GL-4/GL-5 Automotive Gear Oil for Manual Transmissions, Axles, Differentials & Heavy-Duty Drivetrain Applications

Product Description

Shell Spirax S4 AT 75W-90 is a premium synthetic blend automotive gear lubricant formulated using advanced base oil technology and a high-performance additive system to provide excellent protection for manual transmissions, axles, differentials, and drivetrain components.

The SAE 75W-90 multigrade formulation provides excellent viscosity stability across a wide temperature range, combining:

  • Strong oil film protection at high temperatures
  • Excellent low-temperature fluidity
  • Reduced wear
  • Smooth gear operation
  • Long lubricant service life

It is designed for heavily loaded automotive transmissions and axle applications requiring API GL-4, GL-5, or MT-1 performance.

Features and Benefits

Excellent Gear Protection

The advanced extreme pressure (EP) additive system provides:

  • Superior protection against gear tooth wear
  • Excellent load-carrying capability
  • Reduced scuffing under severe operating conditions
  • Protection against shock loading

Outstanding Thermal and Oxidation Stability

The synthetic blend formulation provides:

  • Resistance to high-temperature oxidation
  • Reduced sludge and deposit formation
  • Longer oil drain intervals
  • Cleaner transmission components

Excellent Low-Temperature Performance

The SAE 75W viscosity rating provides:

  • Faster oil circulation during cold starts
  • Smooth gear engagement at low temperatures
  • Reduced friction during start-up operation

The pour point is approximately -42°C, supporting operation in cold environments.

Stable Viscosity Performance

The high viscosity index formulation provides:

  • Minimal viscosity change with temperature variation
  • Strong lubricating film at operating temperature
  • Reliable protection across different climates

Anti-Rust and Corrosion Protection

Protects internal components against:

  • Rust formation
  • Corrosion
  • Moisture-related damage

helping improve gearbox and axle reliability.
