Shell Gadus S2 V220 1 is a high-quality multipurpose extreme-pressure (EP) grease formulated with mineral base oil, a lithium hydroxystearate thickener and additives designed to provide reliable lubrication under heavy loads. It is suitable for plain and rolling-element bearings, hinges, sliding surfaces and selected industrial applications exposed to vibration, shock loading and moisture.

Its NLGI 1 consistency provides a softer structure than NLGI 2 grease, making it suitable for certain centralised lubrication systems and applications requiring easier grease distribution.

    Operating Temperature Range

    −20°C to +120°C is the published general operating range for the Gadus S2 V220 family in the Australian product guide. For continuous operation, bearing speed, load and relubrication interval must be considered; operation near the upper limit may require shorter relubrication intervals.

    Storage and Handling

    • Store in the original, sealed container in a clean, dry location.

    • Prevent contamination by dust, water and other lubricants.

    • Use clean grease guns and dispensing equipment.

    • Review relubrication intervals for bearings operating at elevated temperatures.

    • Avoid contact with hydraulic brake rubber components.
