Mobil Super™ Friction Fighter 5W-30 is a synthetic-technology passenger-car engine oil designed for modern gasoline and diesel engines, Japanese and Korean vehicles, passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks and vans. Key applications include turbocharged engines, high-performance engines, normal-to-severe operating conditions, frequent stop-start driving and vehicles requiring SAE 5W-30, API SP and ILSAC GF-6A performance. It uses Mobil's proprietary FrictionFighter™ molecule technology, designed to create a protective layer on moving engine components and enhance wear protection.
The formulation is also designed to help control sludge and deposits, provide protection during engine start-up and reduce the risk of Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI) in applicable modern gasoline engines. Mobil states that the product has demonstrated improved engine-wear protection in the relevant API SP testing.

Mobil reports up to 65% better engine wear protection based on the Sequence IVB iron-wear test compared with the applicable API SP engine-test requirement. Actual performance varies with engine design, temperature and operating conditions.
LSPI Protection
The formulation is designed to help reduce Low Speed Pre-Ignition (LSPI), a combustion phenomenon relevant to certain modern turbocharged gasoline direct-injection engines.
High-Temperature Protection
The formulation provides protection during elevated engine temperatures and demanding operation, including turbocharged and high-performance engines.
Cold-Start Protection
The SAE 5W winter grade provides good low-temperature fluidity, while the product's low-temperature Mini-Rotary Viscometer result of 16,400 mPa·s at -35°C demonstrates its low-temperature performance.

Important Compatibility Note
Do not select this oil based on SAE 5W-30 alone. The vehicle manufacturer's required performance specification must also be satisfied.
In particular, Mobil Super Friction Fighter 5W-30 should not automatically be substituted for an ACEA C2/C3/C5/C6/C7 or manufacturer-specific low-SAPS oil simply because the viscosity is 5W-30.
For vehicles equipped with DPFs, GPFs or other emissions-control systems, verify the manufacturer's exact oil specification before use.
Storage
Store in the original sealed container in a clean and dry location away from excessive heat, direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep containers tightly closed when not in use and prevent contamination with water, dirt, fuel and other lubricants.
Health & Safety
Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact. Use suitable protective gloves when handling used or contaminated lubricant.
Used engine oil can contain combustion products and other contaminants and should be collected and disposed of through an appropriate waste-oil recycling or disposal system.
