Handling & Storage Advice
Store Marvell Solube EP in its original, correctly labelled drum in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area. Keep the drum protected from direct sunlight, rain, elevated temperatures, frost and incompatible chemicals.
Keep all bungs, pumps and dispensing connections securely closed when not in use. Water, dirt, metal swarf, used coolant, tramp oil and other contaminants must not be allowed to enter the concentrate drum.
Store the drum upright on a stable surface within an appropriate bunded area. Inspect the drum regularly for leakage, corrosion or physical damage. Use suitable mechanical handling equipment when moving the 205-litre drum. A full drum must not be manually lifted or moved in an uncontrolled manner.

Always add the concentrate to water while providing adequate agitation. Do not pour water directly into a container of concentrate. Adding concentrate to water promotes correct emulsion formation and reduces the possibility of creating an unstable invert mixture.
Use clean water of suitable quality. Begin with the quantity of water required and slowly meter Marvell Solube EP into the circulating water. Continue mixing until the fluid is uniform.
Set the concentration according to the current product recommendation and machining operation. Higher concentrations generally provide greater lubricity and corrosion protection for demanding operations, while lower concentrations may provide greater cooling for lighter machining or suitable grinding applications. Concentration should not be selected using a generic ratio alone.
When topping up an operating system, add a correctly prepared premix rather than adding concentrate or water independently. Repeated addition of concentrate directly to the sump can produce locally over-concentrated fluid, while adding water alone may reduce corrosion protection.
Coolant-System Maintenance
Check coolant concentration regularly with a calibrated refractometer. Record the results and make adjustments using prepared premix.
Monitor the system for changes in appearance, odour, foam, residue, corrosion, separation or operator acceptance. An abnormal odour can indicate microbial activity or contamination and should be investigated rather than covered with fragrance or excessive concentrate.
