Gulf Western Superdraulic ISO 68 – Premium Anti‑Wear Hydraulic Fluid
Overview
Gulf Western Superdraulic ISO 68 is a high‑grade hydraulic oil designed for systems requiring ISO VG 68 viscosity. It combines highly refined base oils with an enhanced anti‑wear additive package, corrosion and oxidation inhibitors, and excellent water‑separation and air release properties. It is engineered to deliver reliable performance in both industrial and mobile hydraulics under moderate to severe operating conditions, especially where higher viscosity fluids are required to maintain film strength and reduce wear.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Strong Anti‑Wear & Load Protection
The oil includes zinc‑based anti‑wear chemistry to protect pumps, valves, hydraulic motors, and cylinders, especially under heavy loads or elevated pressures. This helps extend component life and reduce maintenance costs. -
High Thermal and Oxidation Stability
Formulation resists breakdown at elevated operating temperatures. It maintains viscosity and minimizes deposit formation even during sustained high load or heat conditions, ensuring clean operation and reduced downtime. -
Reliable Water Separation (Demulsibility)
When exposed to water ingress or condensation, this oil quickly separates, allowing water to settle out. This helps prevent corrosion, maintain oil performance, and protect hydraulic components from emulsified fluid damage. -
Excellent Air Release and Anti‑Foam Properties
Designed to allow entrained air to escape quickly and suppress foam formation. This improves hydraulic response, reduces cavitation risk, and supports consistent operation in precision systems or where cyclic loading occurs. -
Corrosion & Rust Protection
Contains additives that protect both ferrous and non‑ferrous metals from corrosion, particularly important in humid or outdoor conditions. Helps preserve system integrity during shutdowns or in harsh environments. -
Seal Material Compatibility
Compatible with a broad range of seal materials including nitrile, Viton, and polyurethane. Helps avoid seal swelling or shrinkage and prevents leaks or seal failures.

Handling & Storage Advice
-
Store in sealed containers in a cool, dry, and well‑ventilated area, protected from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
-
Maintain cleanliness when dispensing; use clean equipment and avoid contamination with water, dirt, or other fluids.
-
Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling the oil to prevent skin or eye irritation.
-
Dispose of used oil in accordance with local environmental regulations.
-
Consult the Safety Data Sheet for full safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
Suitable Applications
Gulf Western Superdraulic ISO 68 is intended for systems where a higher viscosity hydraulic fluid is required, including:
-
Large hydraulic systems in industrial machinery such as presses, overhead cranes, and metal forming equipment
-
Mobile hydraulic machinery that operates under significant load or elevated temperatures, such as excavators, backhoes, and dozers
-
Marine and offshore hydraulic applications where ambient conditions are variable and fluid film strength is critical
-
Mining equipment with long fluid passages, large motors or slow‑speed/high‑load pumps
-
Elevated temperature environments or applications requiring reduced wear under high total horsepower loading
