Gulf Western Superdraulic ISO 46 – Premium Anti‑Wear Hydraulic Oil
Overview
Gulf Western Superdraulic ISO 46 is a high performance, anti‑wear hydraulic oil formulated with highly refined base oils and fortified with zinc anti‑wear, oxidation and corrosion inhibitors, and anti‑foam additives. It belongs to the Superdraulic family that offers thermal stability, excellent protection under load, and durable performance in diverse industrial and mobile hydraulic applications. Designed to handle elevated pressures and temperatures, Superdraulic ISO 46 provides reliable lubrication where viscosity grade 46 is required for optimal system response and component protection.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Superior wear protection for hydraulic pumps, directional control valves, cylinders, and motors, thanks to additive chemistry that reduces metal‑on‑metal contact under high loads
-
Excellent thermal and oxidation stability prolongs service life and resists breakdown at elevated temperatures, reducing sludge and varnish formation in demanding duty cycles
-
Strong resistance to foaming and air entrainment ensures smooth hydraulic operation, minimises cavitation risk, and preserves system efficiency
-
High demulsibility (ability to separate from water) to handle moisture ingress and prevent emulsified fluid problems, helping protect internal components from corrosion and degradation
-
Excellent filterability even when the fluid is contaminated, helping maintain clean fluid paths, protect fine filtration systems, and reduce downtime and maintenance costs
-
Compatible with most hydraulic pumps, valves, and seal materials; however, not recommended for use in silver‑plated components due to zinc additives

Handling & Storage Advice
-
Store in its original sealed container in a clean, dry, and well‑ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources
-
Avoid contamination: always use clean dispensing tools and protect containers from water, dust and particulate ingress
-
Maintain temperature control: do not store above 60 °C to preserve additive integrity and avoid degradation
-
Wear appropriate protective gear when handling to avoid skin and eye contact
-
Dispose of used fluid in accordance with local environmental and safety regulations
-
Consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for full handling, health, and safety information
Applications
-
Industrial hydraulic systems such as factory automation, injection moulders, presses, and machine tools where ISO 46 viscosity is required
-
Mobile equipment: loaders, cranes, backhoes, agricultural machines operating under load and with moderate thermal stress
-
Earthmoving and mining machinery that require robust fluid film under load and in harsh environmental conditions
-
Marine and offshore hydraulic systems where water resistance, corrosion protection, and wear control are critical
-
Any hydraulic system specified by OEMs for ISO VG 46 anti‑wear hydraulic fluids
